1X is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for its Actuators team to design and integrate electromechanical systems for humanoid robots. The role covers mechanical packaging, CAD modeling, tolerance and interface documentation, prototyping, testing, failure analysis, and transition of actuator designs to production-ready hardware. Candidates need a mechanical engineering or related degree, 2–5 years of relevant experience, CAD proficiency, and hands-on hardware development experience. The compensation range is $107,700–$161,500 plus equity, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits.
