Hypertherm Associates is hiring a newly graduated Mechanical Engineer in Hanover, New Hampshire to develop expertise in mechanical subsystems for plasma and waterjet cutting systems, CNC equipment, and torch height control systems. The role supports released products through sustaining engineering, mechanical design changes, cost reduction, prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, while collaborating with procurement, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and engineering teams. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, 0–5 years of mechanical design experience, CAD and engineering-drawing skills, and knowledge of tolerance analysis, FMEA, DfMA, and related methods. The position offers up to 10% travel, employee stock ownership, profit sharing, and other benefits, with a base annual pay range of $73,786 to $122,974.
