1X is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to design and deliver mechanical systems for humanoid robots from concept through production. The role owns components and electromechanical assemblies, develops prototype and production-ready hardware, applies engineering analysis and validation testing, and drives design for manufacturability, assembly, cost optimization, and production readiness. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, 1–2+ years of product-development experience, CAD proficiency, and hands-on hardware prototyping and testing experience. The position offers a salary of $145,250–$175,950 plus equity and health, dental, and vision insurance.
