Amazon is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to design and refine automated packaging platforms and supporting systems for Amazon's delivery operations. The role owns the mechanical design and manufacturing of in-house packaging machinery and automation, collaborates with electrical and controls teams, develops functional specifications and test procedures, supports safety certification, and contributes to customer experience, supply chain, and sustainability optimization. The position requires at least four years of mechanical engineering or packaging machinery development experience, a relevant engineering degree, advanced motion-control and 3D design and simulation expertise, and is based in Westboro, Massachusetts, with a base salary of $117,300 to $160,000 annually.
