Mechanical Engineer at Applied Materials

Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Mechanical Engineer in Santa Clara, California, to own the end-to-end design, development, and validation of hardware for Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) processes. The role leads engineering projects, translates on-wafer performance requirements into design requirements, performs thermal, structural, flow, and tolerance analyses, conducts experiments and validation tests, analyzes data with JMP and Microsoft Excel, uses first-principles calculations and FEA/CFD simulations, and prepares technical documentation in Teamcenter. The position requires a PhD or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, 4–7 years of applicable experience, semiconductor equipment design or troubleshooting experience, CAD proficiency, and expertise in at least one technical domain.
