Mechanical Engineer at Applied Materials

Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Mechanical Engineer in Santa Clara, California, to own the end-to-end design, development, and validation of hardware for Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) equipment used in semiconductor and display manufacturing. The role involves translating on-wafer performance requirements into engineering designs, performing thermal, structural, flow, and tolerance analyses, conducting experiments and validation tests, analyzing data with JMP and Microsoft Excel, using FEA and CFD simulations, and preparing engineering documentation in Teamcenter. The position requires a PhD or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, 5–7 years of applicable experience, semiconductor equipment design or troubleshooting experience, and proficiency with 3D CAD tools.
