Description
Assystem is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for its Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit to support Turbine Island design development. Reporting to the Turbine Island Senior Mechanical Engineer, the role involves supplier deliverable checks, design document development, optioneering, systems engineering, integration with wider power plant infrastructure, stakeholder engagement, design reviews, and compliance with safety and quality requirements. The position requires a BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, relevant senior engineering experience, CAD and mathematical skills, knowledge of manufacturing processes, and familiarity with the engineering design cycle; European and offshore standards, ANSYS Workbench, and non-linear fatigue FEA are desirable. The role offers hybrid work with 1–2 remote days per week and requires UK security clearance.
