Cruz Associates Inc. is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to provide mechanical engineering analysis and support for industrial operations and manufacturing at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indian Head, Maryland. The role reviews facility designs, drawings, controls, schematics, and structural drawings for energetic requirements; evaluates processes and hazards; designs, develops, tests, and prototypes mechanical components, equipment, and machinery; and may involve fabrication, operation, installation, and repair. The engineer will also provide leadership and guidance, advise on complex projects, and work independently. Preferred expertise includes explosives operations, while the role requires experience with system descriptions and technical data packages, a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology, and the ability to obtain a Secret or Interim Secret security clearance.
