Foundational Industries is hiring a full-time Mechanical Design Engineer in the Bay Area to own the structural integrity of fabricated, welded, and precision-machined products. The role includes developing fabrication-ready drawings, GD&T and tolerance-stack analyses, FEA-based structural analysis, DFM improvements, and qualification of products for customer and physical testing. The engineer will also support manufacturing engineering, fixtures, and assembly-rate improvements, with a focus on building and scaling autonomous manufacturing capabilities.
