Description
The Mechanical Engineer will develop and analyse HVDC converter valves, perform stress analysis and FEA simulations, apply mechanical specifications to structural components and cooling systems, issue and review drawings and design documentation, support industrialisation and commissioning, contribute to testing and patent applications, and integrate with other engineering teams. The role is based at the HVDC Centre of Excellence in Stafford and includes occasional international travel for product validation, supply-chain integration, and site support.
