HDR is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its Building Engineering Services Group in Boston. The role supports mechanical design for commercial and institutional building projects through all phases, including HVAC and plumbing system design, equipment selection, load and psychrometric calculations, BIM coordination, specifications, construction administration, commissioning, and field verification. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical emphasis, a recognized professional engineering license, and prior experience with commercial or institutional facilities and an architectural/engineering or consulting firm. Experience with healthcare, laboratory, or mission-critical data center projects and tools such as Revit/BIM, IES VE, load calculation, energy modeling, and manufacturer equipment-selection software is preferred.
