Description
The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will design and develop custom semi-automated equipment for fiber-optics manufacturing, conduct feasibility studies and prototyping, prepare design documentation, qualify equipment, and lead projects through commissioning. The role supports global manufacturing facilities, requires onsite work in Shakopee, Minnesota, and includes up to 15% travel. It requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, at least 8 years of relevant engineering experience, SolidWorks proficiency, custom automated equipment design experience, and PLC/HMI and industrial control systems experience.
