Description
The Mechanical Field Engineer performs FEED, studies, detailed design, calculations, analysis, and documentation for mechanical engineering tasks, including pressure vessels, rotating equipment, and special equipment. The role coordinates with design, fabrication, procurement, and other engineering disciplines; reviews supplier documentation; supports inspections and testing; manages equipment requisitions; and assists with project closeout and control changes. It reports to a Project Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager and supervises Associate or Trainee Mechanical Engineers. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 3–8 years of oil and gas experience with major contractors or consultants, and preferably a master’s degree or professional engineering registration.
