Description
The Mechanical Engineer 2 develops manufacturable 3D models and drawings for sheet metal panels, structural supports, barriers, and low- to medium-voltage conductive copper bus assemblies. The role collaborates with electrical designers, project managers, manufacturing, sales, estimating, and field service; prepares bills of materials and assembly drawings; supports design reviews and process improvements; and mentors junior and mid-level mechanical designers and engineers. It requires at least two years of progressive mechanical design experience, significant switchgear or power distribution equipment experience, AutoDesk Inventor proficiency, and familiarity with manufacturing processes, ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Office. The position is office-based with frequent production-floor visits and requires physical mobility, lifting, and attention to safety and quality.
