Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer designs custom automated manufacturing systems and equipment for customers, selecting and integrating components such as pneumatics, dispensing systems, feeders, lasers, vision systems, and motion systems. The role includes engineering calculations, feasibility analysis, design documentation, debugging support, mentoring junior designers, and project coordination. It requires post-secondary engineering education, 3–7 years of solid-modeling and industrial-automation experience, and proficiency with SolidWorks.
