Description
Spaceium is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical systems and structures for spacecraft platforms. The role owns the mechanical design lifecycle from concept through manufacturing and testing, including structural, thermal, and tolerance analysis; CAD modeling; prototype and flight-hardware production; qualification and acceptance testing; material and joining trade studies; and collaboration with systems, electrical, and software engineers. The position requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, CAD experience, knowledge of materials, manufacturing, and GD&T, and experience with version control or configuration management. It is based at Spaceium's Ottawa facility and offers a salary of $75,000–$110,000 CAD per year plus equity.
