Description
The Zoox CAE Contract Engineer – Strength and Durability supports design engineers in developing safe and reliable structural solutions for vehicle systems. The role covers component- to full-vehicle strength and fatigue analysis, hand calculations, implicit finite-element simulation, fatigue and vibration analysis, testing, statistical material-property development, and multi-scale model correlation. It also involves improving CAE working practices and coordinating structural solutions across vehicle attributes. The position is full-time in Foster City, California and requires a master's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or motorsport engineering plus experience with simulation, testing, and first-principle methods.
