Zoox is hiring a Mechanical Engineer - Serviceability for a contract role in Foster City, California. The position evaluates product form, fit, function, access, ergonomics, and replacement feasibility; develops service-part release strategies and service BOMs; identifies and designs service tooling; and collaborates with vehicle, manufacturing, industrial design, prototyping, and field teams to improve product serviceability and maintainability. The role requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, 4–6 years of relevant experience, product and process validation experience, tooling or equipment design experience, strong 3D CAD skills, and the ability to manage projects autonomously.
