Description
Outpost is hiring a Mechanical Engineer in Playa Vista, California to own the design and delivery of flight and ground hardware for its Atmospheric Entry subsystem. The role covers the full engineering lifecycle from requirements definition and CAD-based design through analysis, drawing release, build support, qualification testing, and documentation. The engineer will work on reusable Earth-return spacecraft hardware including deployable structures, aerodynamic decelerators, recovery mechanisms, and precision landing systems, and must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized under U.S. export-control requirements.
