Description
The Mechanical Engineer will support the NSLS-II RF Group by developing, commissioning, operating, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical components and subsystems for RF cavities, transmitters, cryogenic plants, and utility systems. The role includes mechanical analysis and simulation with ANSYS, CST, or similar tools; CAD and engineering documentation; procurement and installation; maintenance planning; and limited off-hours on-call support. The position is onsite at Brookhaven National Laboratory and requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field plus at least three years of mechanical engineering experience.
