Inspired Flight is hiring a full-time Mechanical Engineer for its in-office headquarters in San Luis Obispo, California. The role designs, analyzes, tests, prototypes, and validates complex drone hardware systems; develops engineering solutions; collaborates with design, manufacturing, and quality teams; conducts feasibility and cost analyses; prepares technical documentation; and supports manufacturing and assembly. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, experience with UAS or drone systems, CAD and finite-element-analysis proficiency, and strong analytical and communication skills. The position offers $78,000–$115,000 depending on level, health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) match, and a quarterly team bonus.
