L.B. Foster is hiring a Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to develop custom hardware for onboard train-mounted solutions. The role covers conceptual and detailed design, FEA modelling, prototyping, verification, validation, manufacturing drawings, quality assurance, trial planning, field testing, data acquisition, and stakeholder coordination. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or mechatronics engineering, EIT eligibility, 2–4 years of relevant experience, CAD and FEA proficiency, and the ability to travel up to 25% and work evenings and weekends.
