Quantum Space is hiring a Mechanical Engineer III to lead the design and development of electric propulsion hardware and related subsystems for spacecraft, taking projects from concept through flight. The role focuses on mechanical design, thermal management, structural/thermal analysis, CAD and GD&T drawing release, integration and testing, verification planning, and cross-functional coordination with propulsion, systems, test, suppliers, and manufacturing partners. It requires an experienced engineer with 5–10+ years of hardware development experience, a mechanical engineering degree, proficiency in Creo and ASME Y14.5 GD&T, and the ability to work on-site in the Los Angeles area; the posting also includes salary, equity, benefits, and U.S. citizenship or equivalent export-control eligibility requirements.
