Wabtec Railway Electronics is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Germantown, Maryland to develop and validate complex mechanical systems and components for railroad products. The role leads product development through design, estimation, analysis, development, and validation; uses 3D modeling, simulation, rapid prototyping, and thermal-management techniques; collaborates with electrical, software, manufacturing, and supplier teams; and provides technical leadership to junior engineers. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, at least six years of mechanical engineering experience, and expertise in high-vibration transportation systems, electronics packaging, and thermal management. The base salary is $79,100–$112,800, with relocation assistance potentially available.
