L3Harris is hiring a Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing Tooling) in Palm Bay, Florida, on a 9/80 schedule. The role designs and develops custom tooling and fixtures for aerospace and defense manufacturing, including electronics manufacturing, environmental testing, ground support equipment, shipping containers, antennas, and satellite systems. Responsibilities include CAD design, GD&T, material selection, rapid prototyping, tool assembly, manufacturing-floor validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The position requires a bachelor’s degree with at least two years of related experience or equivalent qualifications, plus at least one year of manufacturing experience; PTC Creo experience is preferred, and a U.S. Government security clearance is required.
