HDR is hiring an experienced Mechanical Engineer for its Michigan-based Power Generation team. The role supports utility, independent power producer, industrial, institutional, and municipal power and energy projects, with responsibilities spanning mechanical equipment and pipe sizing, layouts, construction documents, vendor reviews, technical writing, code reviews, site visits, planning, and budget/schedule management. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a recognized professional engineering license, prior mechanical system design experience in commercial or institutional buildings, consulting-firm experience, and proficiency with MS Office and Trane TRACE or similar software. The position offers development toward project engineering and management, includes mentoring and small-team leadership, and requires less than 10% travel.
