Mechanical Engineer - Prototyping at 1X

1X is hiring a Mechanical Prototyping Engineer to own the end-to-end development of physical products and prototypes supporting the NEO ecosystem. The role covers requirements, mechanical design, prototyping, fabrication, testing, iteration, and delivery, while managing multiple hardware projects and coordinating with stakeholders, machine shops, vendors, and other fabrication resources. Candidates need at least five years of relevant hardware development experience, strong mechanical CAD and manufacturing knowledge, and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience. The position offers a $175,000–$215,000 compensation range and medical, dental, and vision coverage.
