Description
GITAI is hiring a full-time Mechanical Engineer, Space Robotics to own end-to-end development of mechanical hardware for robotic spacecraft systems, including robotic arms, satellite buses, solar arrays, battery enclosures, avionics packaging, fixtures, and ground support equipment. The role covers concept design, CAD, drawings, prototyping, fabrication support, assembly, integration, verification and reliability testing, failure investigation, and early manufacturing support. It is based onsite in Torrance, California, with travel to test sites in Mojave and the greater Los Angeles area, and requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, relevant experience, CAD proficiency, and U.S. citizenship or eligibility for required authorizations.
