Description

SpaceX is hiring a Mechanical Engineer focused on the Starlink Components Test Team. The role designs, develops, builds, and implements custom mechanical, thermal, and fluid test systems and tooling for satellite component qualification and acceptance testing. The engineer will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, support factory and test-lab operations, and solve complex problems efficiently. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or another engineering discipline is required, while CAD, PLM/PDM, custom machine design, process integration, structural analysis, GD&T, and manufacturing experience are preferred. The position may require travel and flexible scheduling, and offers a base salary of $100,000–$115,000 per year for Level I or $110,000–$135,000 per year for Level II, along with medical, vision, dental, retirement, and other benefits.
