Mechanical Engineering Design Manager at Fairphone

Fairphone is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Design Manager to oversee the conceptual and executional mechanical and material design of smartphones, audio products, and accessories. The role supervises ODM mechanical design engineers and technicians, reviews complex assemblies and subsystems, supports pilot runs and production issues, performs FEA and TA analyses, qualifies tooling, and collaborates with product, hardware, audio, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams. The position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, at least 10 years of experience in mobile smartphones or similar consumer electronics, and knowledge of CAD, manufacturing, plastics, tooling, injection molding, and secondary processing.
