Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Mechanical Engineering Manager (E5) in Santa Clara, California, to lead a team of mechanical engineers responsible for developing and sustaining advanced PVD modules and subsystems for semiconductor equipment. The role owns mechanical execution across NPI, sustaining, and customer programs; drives architecture, reliability, cost reduction, and roadmap decisions; leads root-cause investigations; manages schedules and supplier capabilities; and coaches engineers in GD&T, tolerance analysis, FEA, thermal analysis, and design reviews. The position requires a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, at least 10 years of semiconductor equipment experience, and 2+ years of technical leadership or people management experience.
