Cummins Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician for its Engineering team at the Columbus, Indiana facility. The role conducts engine, component, system, and controls performance and reliability testing; diagnoses test-cell issues; configures data acquisition and engine test programs; analyzes and documents data; builds, tears down, inspects, grades, and measures components; fabricates piping, tubing, and brackets; installs engines and instrumentation; designs and executes test plans; prepares reports; coordinates programs; supports quality, safety, audits, training, customer and supplier interactions, and improvement projects.
