Description
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Technician for its Component Development team in Pullman, Washington. The hands-on position supports equipment operation, prototype construction, experimental documentation, production-aid design and development, assembly, testing, project estimation, and engineering recordkeeping under World Class Manufacturing principles. Candidates need a two-year technical degree or equivalent training and experience, core competence in CAD modeling, dimensioning, drawing and schematic interpretation, mathematics, applied physics, and technical writing, plus competence in at least two technical pathways such as design, stress, thermal, automation, machining/fabrication, or testing. Typically two or more years of technical or manufacturing support experience is required. The role pays $35.38–$48.60 per hour and includes extensive medical, dental, vision, retirement, leave, and development benefits.
