Description

Blue Origin is hiring a hands-on mechanical hardware test engineer for its Lunar Permanence business unit, supporting Blue Moon lunar landers and related spaceflight products. The role plans, develops, installs, executes, and analyzes tests for mechanical components, electromechanical assemblies, mechanisms, and multi-axis gimbal systems, including development, qualification, acceptance, performance, environmental, thermal vacuum, and vibration/shock testing. It also involves test instrumentation and data acquisition, CAD-based test support equipment design, vendor coordination, safety and risk management, test documentation, troubleshooting, data analysis, and mentoring. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline and at least five years of hands-on hardware testing experience; U.S. work authorization meeting export-control requirements is mandatory.
