Description
Mars Petcare is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for its Melton Mowbray factory. The role maintains, troubleshoots, and improves automated electromechanical systems, including refrigeration, meat-processing equipment, conveyors, and fluid systems; reduces downtime through root-cause analysis and fault finding; leads and coaches colleagues; supports continuous improvement and safety; and collaborates with operations and technical teams. The position requires an HNC/HND in mechanical engineering or a related field, practical experience, FMCG or manufacturing experience, problem-solving ability, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PI Process Book, and SAP Planned Maintenance. The schedule is 37.5 hours Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm, with a salary of £39,300–£44,300 dependent on experience, plus a £5,000 welcome bonus and other benefits.
