ALTEN Technology USA is hiring a Mechanical Packaging Engineer for a 10-month contract to lead mechanical packaging and systems integration for aircraft avionics, motors, controllers, docks, and ground systems for a drone delivery system. The role covers hardware packaging, space claims, mounting, serviceability, thermal and vibration management, environmental protection, harness routing, and CAD documentation. Candidates need a BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, at least five years of electromechanical packaging and systems integration experience, 3D CAD proficiency, GD&T and design-for-manufacturing knowledge, and familiarity with FAA airworthiness requirements. The position is preferred on-site in Mountain View, California; on-site in Denver, Colorado is satisfactory; remote work within the United States is less preferred. The salary range is $120,000 to $140,000.
