ABB is hiring a Project Engineer to lead mechanical systems for mine hoist projects in the Americas. The role covers technical recommendations, custom design of hoists and related systems, cost estimates, customer and vendor coordination, remote and on-site technical support, installation and commissioning supervision, equipment inspections, and maintenance recommendations. Candidates need 3–8 years of mechanical engineering experience in mine hoisting, heavy industries, or mining, a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, professional engineering designation, and knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, hydraulics, pneumatics, and brake control systems. The position is open to remote, hybrid, or office work across Canada and the United States, with a stated annual salary of $89,400 to $131,120 and bonus eligibility.
