Description

Marathon Petroleum is hiring a Mechanical Project Engineer to provide mechanical and technical support at its Los Angeles Refinery in Carson/Wilmington, California, while developing and managing engineering and construction projects from conception through commissioning and start-up. The role includes equipment and piping design reviews, project estimates and construction work packages, Management of Change, vendor drawing reviews, maintenance support, PHA/HAZOP participation, incident investigations, and safety and environmental compliance. The position is full time, primarily onsite, with 9/80, 5/40, or 4/1 schedules and occasional after-hours and turnaround support.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Required Previous Experiences: At least 4 years of post-degree experience as a Mechanical or Project Engineer in the refining, petrochemical, or manufacturing industry
