Description
Assystem is hiring a Mechanical Responsible Engineer in Warrington on a permanent or contract basis inside IR35. The role holds full technical accountability for mechanical and ventilation engineering, providing governance, assurance, verification, and decision-making across the project lifecycle in a nuclear or high-hazard environment. The engineer will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage technical risks, interface with regulators and assurance bodies, and support safety, quality, compliance, and strategic decision-making. Required qualifications include a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent, extensive Responsible Engineer experience, Chartered Engineer status or equivalent, and the ability to meet security clearance and site-access requirements.
