Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to oversee mechanical trade activities in support of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Operational Flying Squadrons. This role involves managing personnel and resources, coordinating aircraft generation, and ensuring operational readiness rates align with regulatory frameworks. Key responsibilities include allocating manpower, demanding spares, raising reports, conducting PMDS downloads, completing PIPs, liaising with senior engineers, performing shift handovers, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality practices.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: recognized aircraft engineering apprenticeship in industry/military or similar qualification in aircraft systems.
previous Typhoon Mechanical Systems experience with a formal ‘Q’ annotation.
extensive post qualification experience of military fast jet maintenance support, at Senior Supervisor level within an operational military flying environment and proven ability to manage all levels of engineering personnel.
Preferred Qualifications: An understanding of engineering operating procedures.
Proven Managerial experience within the aerospace industry preferably gained on 3rd and/or 4th Generation military aircraft at Senior Supervisor level or equivalent.
Experience of working in the aviation industry in a Gulf Coast Country preferred.
The ability to act upon his own initiative within the scope of his job.
A conscientious approach to work and meticulous attention to detail.
A track record of meeting strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality.
An understanding of ESS or similar electronic based reporting system.
