Description

BAE Systems is hiring a Mechanical Superintendent in Taif, Saudi Arabia, to manage personnel, resources, maintenance activities, and aircraft generation for RSAF operational flying squadrons. The role oversees supervisor manpower allocation, flight-line and aircraft maintenance support, spares and technical reporting, PMDS/SHM/EHM analysis, inspections, tool control, approved-data compliance, quality reporting, continuous improvement, troubleshooting, staff welfare, discipline, and supervisor development. It requires HNC-level education or equivalent, aircraft engineering apprenticeship or similar qualification, formal Typhoon Mechanical Systems experience with a Q annotation, extensive senior-supervisor experience supporting military fast-jet maintenance in an operational flying environment, strong management, coaching, communication, English, and aerospace engineering knowledge.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: HNC-level education or recognized equivalent; relevant formal workplace training may be accepted.
Required Previous Experiences: Recognized aircraft engineering apprenticeship or equivalent aircraft-systems qualification.
Previous Typhoon Mechanical Systems experience with a formal Q annotation.
Extensive post-qualification military fast-jet maintenance experience at Senior Supervisor level in an operational flying environment, including management of engineering personnel.
Preferred Qualifications: Aerospace managerial experience on third- or fourth-generation military aircraft at Senior Supervisor level.
Aviation industry experience in a Gulf Coast country.
Understanding of ESS or a similar electronic reporting system.
Ability to work independently within role authority.
Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Understanding of engineering operating procedures.
