Description
IPG is hiring a Mechanical Systems Engineer to evaluate, design, implement, and support retrofits, rebuilds, upgrades, and modernization of installed customer equipment and internal manufacturing systems. The role combines mechanical engineering with controls and automation knowledge, covering machine design, field assessments, documentation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and support for packaging machinery, palletizers, robotics, material handling, and industrial automation systems. The engineer will also support manufacturing operations, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives, with 50–70% travel to customer and manufacturing locations.
