Description
The Mechanical Technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment in desalination, water treatment, power, oil and gas, or industrial facilities. Responsibilities include inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and overhauling pumps, motors, valves, gearboxes, compressors, piping, RO skids, and related systems; performing alignment, lubrication, condition monitoring, commissioning, shutdown, root-cause analysis, reporting, and emergency call-outs. The role requires a mechanical engineering or maintenance diploma or technical certificate, 3–5 or more years of relevant experience, knowledge of rotating and static equipment, ability to read mechanical drawings and P&IDs, and familiarity with CMMS. RO desalination experience is preferred but not required.
