The Structural Test Department is hiring a Mechanical Technician III for a 15-month W2 contract onsite in Redondo Beach, California. The role supports assembly, operation, and maintenance of hydraulic cylinders and actuators, and performs structural load and pressure testing on complex flight and development hardware. Responsibilities include hydraulic system assembly and troubleshooting, test equipment setup, instrumentation, closed-loop control, leak checks, mechanical repair, metal fabrication, and safe operation of lift equipment. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least four years of technician experience, experience with hydraulic systems or structural/mechanical testing, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; an active clearance and experience with servo-hydraulic systems, LabVIEW, instrumentation calibration, clean rooms, and flight hardware are preferred.
