Description
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is hiring a full-time, career-indefinite Mechanical Technologist to support the National Ignition Facility’s Cryogenic Target Systems Group. The role installs and aligns high-value targets and gas bottles, operates and maintains cryogenic, vacuum, x-ray, and pressurized-gas systems, performs remote computer-controlled operations, and provides technical support for experiments and program operations. The position requires full-time on-site work in a 24/7 facility, typically on a 3/12 or 4/12 schedule, and requires a U.S. Department of Energy Q-level security clearance and U.S. citizenship. The stated hourly pay range is $43.55 to $53.36.
