Description
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is hiring Mechanical Technologists and Sr. Mechanical Technologists to support physics experiments and mechanical engineering evaluation through experiment planning, mechanical component and system design, fabrication, assembly, disassembly, testing, calibration, documentation, and maintenance. The work may involve radioactive or fissile materials, hazardous materials, and classified parts, and requires full-time on-site presence. The 533.2 and 533.3 levels have additional responsibilities, including complex-system assembly, design reviews, and technical direction. A DOE Q-level clearance and U.S. citizenship are required, along with an associate degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent education and experience.
