Description
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is hiring Mechanical Test Engineers for its Environmental & Mechanical Test Group within the Defense Technologies Engineering Division. The role involves designing and conducting mechanical and diagnostic tests, operating shaker, shock, thermal, and other test equipment, analyzing data, preparing reports, supporting engineering requirements and calculations, and collaborating on projects involving structural, thermal, fluidic, diagnostic, and National Ignition Facility systems. The position may be filled at SES.2 or SES.3 levels, offers a hybrid schedule, and requires a U.S. Department of Energy Q-level security clearance, U.S. citizenship, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent knowledge.
