Description
Snap Inc. is hiring its first on-site hardware engineer to own and maintain the calibration lab’s fixtures, targets, lighting, camera rigs, and related hardware. The role involves designing and building mechanical fixtures and mechanisms, prototyping circuits and wiring, integrating sensors and triggers, characterizing repeatability, troubleshooting hardware, reviewing requirements and deliverables from remote mechanical and electrical teams, and documenting lab procedures. The position requires a degree in mechatronics, robotics, mechanical engineering, or a related field, at least three years of industry experience building and maintaining lab or test hardware, and proficiency with CAD, electrical troubleshooting, Python, and hardware integration.
