Description
Ford is hiring a Core Architect to serve as the senior technical lead and primary authority for mechatronic feature definition from concept through logical requirements handoff, cross-validation, system and subsystem sign-off, and physical prototype direction. The role owns stakeholder elicitation, system architecture, functional safety and DFMEA analysis, requirements traceability, validation, and coordination with modeling and testing engineers. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field, at least five years of automotive or related systems engineering experience, expertise in functional safety and DFMEA, and proficiency with SysML, CATIA V6, and MATLAB/Simulink. The position is hybrid, offers a base salary of $84,600 to $166,200, and does not provide visa sponsorship.
