Description
Adhere to Medical Assistant scope of practice, follow policies/procedures, and maintain training/competency. Perform rooming/visit tasks like vital signs, medication reconciliation, medical history, health maintenance, allergy reviews, and screenings. Assist providers with or perform procedures. Perform lab-related duties such as venipuncture, specimen collection/labeling/packing, preparing lab orders/requisitions, and tracking results. Complete POCT according to standing orders/provider orders. Conduct CLIA-approved waived laboratory tests and practice-specific diagnostic testing. Administer medications/vaccines safely following the rights of medication administration. Other duties include medication refills, insurance authorizations, safety/log completion, patient messaging, supply/ordering, appointment scheduling, and referrals.
